10 – Day Best of Kenya Safari

Details
Day 1 Amboseli National Park
Your safari starts with your pick-up at 7:30 am from your hotel or airport in Nairobi and drive to Amboseli National Park. We arrive shortly after noon and check into Kibo Safari Camp, enjoy a hot lunch and some time to relax. At 4 pm, we head out for an afternoon game drive. Afterward, we head back to our camp for dinner and our overnight stay.
The highlight of Amboseli is the great concentration of elephants, the largest in the world. It is home to over 1600 elephants from 56 different families. Each of the elephants has a name and a photo attached to its name. You will enjoy all of this with the magnificent background of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa standing at 5895 meters.
There are also many unique animals like the vervet monkey
Day 2 Amboseli National Park
Today’s itinerary is flexible, you can discuss and arrange this with your guide. You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for a full-day game drive around 7:30 am with a picnic lunch, then return back to the camp late afternoon. Otherwise, you can depart at 6 am on an early morning game drive and return to your accommodation for breakfast, and relax for the rest of the day. We will depart at 4 pm on an afternoon game drive and return at 6.30 pm to the camp for dinner and our overnight stay.
Day 3 Ol Pejeta Conservancy
We have an early breakfast at 6 am, then head for Ol Pejeta Conservancy. We will drive through the slopes of Mt. Kenya, cross the equator to Sweetwater’s Game Sanctuary, and arrive at Sweetwaters, a private ranch and rhino sanctuary. We will arrive shortly after noon and check into your hotel, have a hot lunch and then have some time to rest. At 3.30 pm, we depart for the afternoon game drive in search of white and black rhinos, as well as other wildlife. After the game drive, we head back to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner.
We will visit the Sweetwater Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya. Here visitors can enjoy the unique opportunity of observing the orphaned chimps that vary in age from 2-15 yrs. Enjoy the sights and sounds of man’s closest relative. It is also home to the last two of the northern white rhinos that remain in the world.
Day 4 Samburu National Reserve
At 6 am, you will proceed for an early morning game drive in search of the big cats, then return to the camp for breakfast. You will then head for Samburu Game Reserve. We will arrive in time for lunch and have some time to relax. At 4 pm, we depart on an afternoon game drive. We will search for the elusive leopard and other wildlife. The highlight of the park is the special Samburu Six. They include the Baisa oryx, gerenuk, Defassa waterbuck, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra and the Somali ostrich. At 6.30 pm, we will return to the camp for dinner and our overnight stay.
Day 5 Samburu Simba Lodge
As Samburu is in a hot region, also known as a semi-arid area, we recommend taking advantage of the mornings and late evening as most animals go in to the shade to escape the hot sun. At 6 am we depart on an early morning game drive. We return to the camp for breakfast and relax until mid-afternoon. At 4 pm we depart on an afternoon game drive. We return at 6 pm to the camp for dinner and our overnight stay.
Day 6 Lake Naivasha
After breakfast,
We head for Naivasha to arrive in time for lunch. The day’s activities include a boat ride on Lake Naivasha followed by a walking safari in the animal sanctuary, Relax at the hotel for the afternoon, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the shores of Lake Naivasha. we head back to camp to freshen up, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner and overnight.

I am 6 feet tall and 220 lbs. This shirt fit me perfectly in the chest and shoulders. My only complaint is that it is so long! I like to wear polo shirts untucked. This shirt goes completely past my rear end. If I wore it with ordinary shorts, you probably wouldnt be able to see the shorts at all – completely hidden by the shirt. It needs to be 4 to 5 inches shorter in terms of length to suit me. I have many RL polo shirts, and this one is by far the longest. I dont understand why.

The shirt was not the fabric I believed it to be. It says Classic Fit but was made like the older versions, not the soft cotton like my others. I don’t understand how the labels are the same but a completely different shirt. Oh well, stuck with it now.
